Hi

Interested in joining your running club. Can you give me some details on when you train, how far you run & the general pace of everyone.

Thanks

Claire

HI Clare,

We train on Monday and wednesdays, meet at 7pm at YM squash courts ,we do varied routes ,usually easy pace for a mile or 2 and then a session e.g 1-2 min efforts then recovery , or hill reps, or longer 1 mile reps. We also sometimes just run steady but this is more in winter. we also do a bit off road, round the dam etc so its not all road running, we enter races as a club and travel together for this, Joining a club really is an excellent way to improve and the runs range for about 4.5 to 10 miles but we usually do 5- 7. We probably run at 8-9 min miling and then obviously the effort part is at your own pace, however we dont run off and leave people and someone always will run with you if you tire alternatively you could be up front dragging us lot along!! come down and give it a try, there is no obligation and  you can choose when you want to attend, if you have a look back at some of the training plans this will give you an idea of the sessions we do.
hope to see you at the club, we need more women!!!
Joanne

p.s Rach will give you some further info if ive missed anything!

forgot to say!! The session this Monday 20th July is the longest of the year, it will be approx 10-11 mile taking in Shaley Brow ( the biggest hill in st helens that leads to Billinge lump!) just thought i'd let you know in case you turn up but dont intend to run so far, alternatively if your looking for a challenge this run will do it for you!

Jo

Hi Claire,
I am planning an easy run on wednesday with Dawn who has not been running much cos of an injury. We will only be doing a few miles at a leisurely pace, come down if you fancy it.
Carol
