Dear Runner    -    less than 5 weeks to go    -   here we try & answer some commonly asked questions

It is run both within SPORTCITY & goes out onto traffic free closed roads in the surrounding area inc Alan Turing Way & Bradford Road.  STARTS and FINISHES at the Regional Athletics Arena at SportCity.The race goes around the outside of the CITY OF MANCHESTER STADIUM originally built for the MANCHESTER COMMONWEALTH GAMES. It also highlights the B of the Bang sculpture, opened by Linford Christie.Q    =    Do I have to run for a charity ?No - It certainly isn't compulsory. If you want to just run & enjoy the experience - we are more than happy for you to do soSome people DO want to run for charity - If you do wish to run & raise money for one of the nominated charitiesThere are two nominated charities this year - CYSTIC FIBROSIS TRUSTand CITY IN THE COMMUNITY - This is the registered charity of 'MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB' which runs a variety of health, education, social inclusion and sports programmes in schools and community groups. If anyone wishes to run & raise money for a charity of their choice they are free to do so. Please also note that we DO NOT SELL CHARITY PLACES ! There is no additional fee to run for charity. Neither is there a minimum amount to be raised. All we ask is that you get your friends / work colleagues etc to sponsor you. Cheques should be made out to the charity concerned & sent either direct to the charity or to ourselves for collection & all monies will then be passed over, on your behalf.Q    -    Do I get anything for running the race ?There are T SHIRTS TO ALL FINISHERS  - plus a goody bag   -    plus there are also SPOT PRIZES which are given out on a random basis Q    -    where do I park etc ?Once you have entered we will send out your running number with approx 2 x weeks to the event. Other race details re parking / refreshments etc will accompany your number.
