hello to everybody at st helens striders,i was born in st helens in 1965 so my age now is 41yrs young,i left st helens when i was 27yrs old for london that is when i started running, anyway to cut a very long story short i have now run 50 marathons,3 ultra races ,also run two 24hr races, and lots of half marathons,10 milers,5milers and cross country races which i hate.I run for barking road runners we are a small club but getting bigger all the time.Just to let you know i still look at your running web page, and hopefully when i do visit st helens i would like to meet up with some of your runners.
Thanks for visiting. We don't have any ultra runners yet, I'm sure someone will suggest it at some stage and we'll end up doing 1000 laps of Victoria Park one weekend. Good running
I lived in boundary road about six houses from the chip shop.My brother lives in moss bank road,so i use to run from my house to his in moss bank then we would carry on through billinge run round to crank hill and then run back, distance would be around 12 to 15 miles.
:::: And I thought Alf Tupper was supposed be a tough guy working overtime on a Saturday morning have a pie for dinner arrive late for race and still win easily ** wimp

At least he didn't get hung drawn and quartered like William Wallace
Sorry Col, we've banned the words 'Moss Bank Road' on here, just in case Frank gets any ideas about hill work again. You'll have to join us on our annual excursion up Shaley Brow in the summer.
Just to keep you in touch with my running,i ran the dartford 10 today it was very windy but dry my time was 69mins 18secs which was not too bad for me.Next week it will be the benfleet 15 which i do not enjoy running as it is partly road and cross country.
