I have been thinking of Resolutions for 2012. And I am always inspired by Ron Hill, who apparently has ran every day for the past 50 years. So surely running every day for a year wont be a problem..?
Who wants to join me in trying to run every day for a year? I have thought of some rules, but these can be negotiated:
The run has to be at least 1 mile (that way if you already run 3 times a week you are only adding a minimum 4 miles onto your weekly total and therefore hopefully wont injure yourself). Treadmill counts.
Sick notes are accepted- if you are on your sick bed then you wont be expected to run
Do we allow a day off after a marathon?
Any other exceptions?

Sold!!!! Jo and i will start from jan 1st,, a mile on the treadmill is worse than 6 miles on/off rd!! These decisions are never taken lightly and i will as always give it my best shot!! Cheers Brunty,,ohh does a mile on the bike count or 1/2 mile in the pool??

June 24th 2002 I broke my new years resolution and did not run on that day..so ran every day for 6 months... good luck on that one .. I had a minimum 3 mile rule....
Rach re rules,, what about the day before a race/run?? We have 13.1 miles to do on 2nd jan,, do we need to fit in the 1mile as well?? How about we say only if the race is 6.3mile plus we dont have to do the mile the day before!!
