What to do.... I really am anti marathon at the moment. Work is incredibly busy, I have a dissertation to write, my social life is getting the better of me and I seem to be running (pun not intended) out of time. I wanted to do another 20 miler before race day- I can't do one this wk unless I leave work early tomorrow and run to the club. Seeing as I have only just got home it seems unlikely. My last long run was 3rd sept- iv done 3 20's and a 18... Is this enough training? Last wk was a rest week and I really did rest, a poor 15 miles for the week!  Do I bite the bullet and run a 20 miler in a weeks time and have two weeks recovery? Or start tapering now (this I will find easy).  I know it sounds silly as I am not injured or anything but I just have alot on my plate Advice appreciated

Rach,I did my last long run with you & done next to nothing last week,I`ve done 1 more `20`than you have but we have all done to much graft in the last couple of months to stop you from being there on the day, all because you haven`t done another 20 miler you`ll be fine on the daysmile

All your training is done if you cant get another long run in then dont do one . you may end up too tired near race day...

Hello Rach

What you don,t want to do is to play catch up with you training thats when fatigue and injuries occur, looking at your training i would say you have done sufficient miles just relax and take it easy

Don't panic Rach - you've done plenty of long runs and you have run them well!

you are plenty fit enough - don't try to cram another long one 2 weeks before incase you injure yourself or feel too tired!

See you soon,

Charley
