I have an injury to my foot. I injured my foot and need your help. I am hoping to do the 10k at the weekend and I feel that without help, I won't be able to. Could you get back to me asap.
Hi Sharon, can you tell me a bit more about your pain ie how exactly you did it and what happend when you flex your foot forward and back, stand on your toes.....also, when you say it goes up to your ankle, is this on the inside of your leg or the outside ? if you'd rather ring me than type it all out my numbers are 01744 624082 or 07786044277, best time is around 12.30 or 2.30 i am free then.
In the meantime, can you get an ice pack on it for 10 minutes (no longer) at a time and try and do that every 2 hours or 3x a day if 2 hrs is impractical... for next 2 days and complete rest it and we'll see how that feels...
Sorry that I didn't get back to you, had some trouble getting internet connection. I did the race but was frightened to run up the hills and walked them. My foot does hurt around the ankle bone but not on it. My leg hurts on the outside from about an inch above the ankle for around an inch. I aslo have worn some shoes that have rubbed on my bunions (which only get red and don't hurt). I didn't put too much pressure on my foot as I had it strapped up with a flexible ankle support. I will ring you tomorrow if possible. I won't run on my leg until the weekend.
Hiya, If you could make it to clinic at bobbies lane treatment centre in Eccleston, just past the griffin pub turn right, at 11.30 tomorow (tue, 22nd) I can have a look at it for you ?
Otherwise i'll be home on wednesday after 1pm if you want to phone me then, carry on with the ice treatment as often as you can (every 2 hrs or so) for 10mins. Hope this helps, Bernie
I went to the Walk in centre after work and they said that they thought that I had a ligament problem like you said a TRA? The ice was really good but as I do a lot of driving for my job it will hurt. I won't be doing any running etc until it is better.
