have found some info about the Anglesey Festival of Running from various sources
DRINKS
This info re: drinks etc came from a Runner's World Forum by one of the organisers
"Hi All,
Just picking up on a couple of questions if that's ok... The buses for the half marathon will all set off at 08:45am. All the runners for the half will leave at the same time this year on one fleet of buses to make sure that nobody has to wait at the start of the half.
There will be 11 drink stations and 4 sponge stations on the marathon route (in case it is as warm as last year)and a mix of isotonic and water. We are also hoping to provide some gels on the drinks stations in the last quarter for that little boost on thew wicked final hill...
I hope this helps. The full information about registration, collection of bibs and timing chips e.t.c. will be going out by email and/or post (depending on how people entered) in the next 24 hours.
Also *stop press* pleased to confirm that we will be chip timing every distance this year, so 5k and 10k as well as the half and the full marathon.
Hope you all have a great race and that the weather is kind to us all. "
ROUTE
the route of the half has been plotted on walkjogrun.net at the following link (albeit a bit haphazardly)
The Anglesey Showground is situated off the A5 which used to the main road across Anglesey. The main road across the island is now the A55 - you can the leave the A55 at either Junction 6 (if you are coming from Bangor) or Junction 5 (if you are coming from Holyhead). The Showground has its own website with directions, map etc http://www.angleseyshow.org.uk/
Postcode for satnav is LL65 4RW
I will post a weather report on saturday to let you know how it has been - although no guarantees it will stay that way.
