I came across an ad in this months runners world about the new Urban gyms that are hitting the streets, there arent any here but I wondered if anyone is interested in us using the idea for an alternative training session every once in a while. It involves during a usual run , using things like park benches, bars (not the drinkin type!!) etc to do things like pull ups, press ups, tri dips etc , you also incorporate the dreaded burpees , floor sprints, sit ups star jumps etc!!!Similar to circuit training but during a run, Im sure Dawn has heard of it and whether we would be able to structure a session in a park somewhere? Anyway, just an idea for the summer nights as a challenging alternative !!

will check out the sutton park one see what its all about!! Im glad others think its a good idea but if other members dont want to do this on a runnin night we could always do it on a Sturday when we meet up once the long long running season is over with!! ( will it ever be over with???) Shaun that would be great if you could use your expertise and give us some pointers and ideas
