Whiston/Prescot Area
Permalink

Hi

I am interested in joining the club, but don't have access to transport, so I was wondering if anybody travels for the Whiston/Prescot area and would be willing to take me or drop me off?

I run quite a bit on my own and enter the odd race locally but would be looking at entering more next year and stepping up my training.

Thank you very much for your help

Regards
Shaun

Hi Shaun

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately I dont live in that area so I cant help you. Not sure if anyone else does- maybe someone will post a message.

Is there not a bus or train you could get to st helens town centre? Our training headquarters is within half a mile of both and I would have thought there would be somoe buses heading your way.

We cater for all runners from beginners to advanced- so I am sure you would benefit if you were to join.

Rach

Hi
Trains run from Prescot and  Eccleston Park Stations to St Helens Central station. It is a 5-10 minute walk/jog to the YMCA where Striders are based, I think trains run until nearly 11 pm for return if no one can drop you off biggrin

Yea I made it thanks just carried on running straight through.

I'm glad I came down, really enjoyed it and looking forward to next week already (even though I'm a bit sore)

Hi Shaun

You wasn't the only one who was sore. Glad to see a new face. That now means I'm not the 'Newbie'.

See you Monday

John (Red England top)
