I mentioned to a few people last night that there is the prospect of a full marathon on Merseyside - the first for over 20 years - possibly taking place next October - maybe!!!!

There is a website so if you are interested sign up and get more info.

PS - it is great to see more new people at training. I can only imagine more people being interested in joining a club (hopefully Striders) should we end up with a local marathon.

oh fantastic!!!! count me in for that one!! at last a marathon that wont involve flying or travelling for hours to get to the start line!! They been after getting one in liverpool for a few yrs now.

apparently it's been binned sadly.Must be the only major city without a marathon
