Its been a busy Easter.

Calder Vale 10m on Good Friday 73:30 official time. Because the finish is in a dip below the start this is technically a down hill race with a few 'slopes' in between. Rain, wind, hail and sunshine during the run. Recommended!

Easter Sunday ran the Runcorn Bridge 5 mile run 33:40. I had forgotten how hard these short runs are. Marathons are easy! Tea and toasted hot cross buns at the end so also recommended!

Blackpool 10k today 42:59. Not many runners and after the start the field quickly spread out and ran I both laps with 200m between the runner in front and the one behind.

Dennis is my new running partner, he ran Runcorn and Blackpool.

Well done Brian, definitely on the comeback trail now. Have you got a half marathon in mind for the grand prix. I've just sent off my entry for Freckleton in June. Really enjoyed that one last year.By the way my time at Runcorn was 31.59 a PB and 34th overall, dont think i've ever been that near the front! Think I may have overdone it with the hot cross buns & toast, thats whats probaly made me finish so well.Got a 5M race in Chester on Wed night, so wont be at training this week.See you soon.

It was a bit daft to do 3 races so close together, but who ever met a runner with any common sense!

Les, Ste and I are off to Berlin this weekend to do a half marathon assuming we can find the registration and start. Ste and I don't intend to race it, just get a race in and try to pick up a better time later in the year.

I hope Chester goes well, see you soon.

Good luck in Berlin- i loved doing that race in Austria, its always nice doing something worthwhile abroad. Hope it is not too hot/wet/cold or whatever the weather is doing.
I am off to the races tomorrow but I still intend on doing a 'short' run on saturday...
