Dear All

I have decided to start up the Striders Newsletter again and I will need all your help!

It will follow a similar format to the one that is available on the website from Christmas with race reports, dates for your diary, news about striders and their acheivements, favourite routes, local races to enter and anything else that people would like to have on it.
If anyone would like to help me then you are very welcome :)

I will aim to have one out every two months at first and see how much time it takes with maybe bringing it out once a month in the future- who knows?

If anyone would like to send me a (short) race report for any recent races, any routes that you think other striders may be interested in, or any news you would like for me include then please email them to me at r.fishwick@hotmail.co.uk

Hopefully we can have one out for the Oct/ Nov issue.

Rach, First news item for consideration.St Helens Striders are sponsoring St Helens Town Football Club's Karl Ledsham for the 2007/2008 season (someone pick Les up off the floor then tell him the cash has already been sorted) .If you want a bit of background info and a pic I'll sort something out and send it to you......

an entry for the newsletter as long as you get it out pretty soon.
an evening invite to all striders and better halves to my daughter
kellie and martins wedding, the venue is birchley st marys at billinge,
sat dec 8th.franks son steven is our dj plus we have a swing singer
booked for a 45 minute spot.we hope to see a good turnout from
striders.

Hi Rach

we could even have the newsletter published on the YMCA website  - let me know and I will contact Dave/ Jean.

Re the YMCE website - does anyone have some digital photos so they can publish on their website?
Maybe we could all bring club vests for the last handicap next week and we can take some photos.

Right peeps, I am going to have a deadline for this newsletter, which will  be next weekend so I can have time to include any race reports/anything that people have sent me- which is very little!

I know you are all racing so just give me a couple of lines to include, else the newsletter will just be about my Austrian run ( and I am sure I have already bored you all with that by now!!) 

Email me at R.fishwick@hotmail.co.uk or just give me it on paper at the club, I intend on going both Monday and Wednesday of this week.
