Those who were at chorley saw how distraught I was when my garmin wouldn't work! I charged it when I got back home and then went out this evening for a short run. It kept on turning itself off after a few seconds and then eventually it stayed on for about 1.6 miles and then turned itself off. I tried to turn it on, and it would just go off again after a few seconds. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it the end of the road (cough) for my watch or is it curable? It is four years old and i suspect might have been out in the rain more than it should.
Very upset though. It has helped me run 4 marathons, 75 races (counted them the other day) and questions franks handicap distance!!! :D

Looks like a common problem and a common solution is to update the software. Because its so old (in techno time) there have been lots of updates to your watches software since it came out and like most people you dont update if its still working.
Worth a try. Just google updating firmware for Garmin xxxxxx, or look for downloads on the Garmin website (probably best option).
