What is the Ulverston Triathlon?
The Ulverston Triathlon takes place on Sunday September 11th, 2011 and is a great way to grab some end of season racing or sample your first triathlon! The event is based at Lakes Leisure Ulverston and consists of a 400m pool swim, 28k coastal cycle route and a 7k run on a mixture of road, trail and beach!
Claire u gonna beat last years time?? Jo said she is on the mountain bike this year,, lols so am i!! Just had a little ride round the park untill the sky turned black!!
Yes I'm def up for doing this again. I loved it last year. If anyone is worried about the swim its in a pool & it only lasts for about 10 mins so don't let that put you off.
we have decided that it may be better to do the tri next year rather than this as training is stepping up now for the marathon, we are not going to find time to train properly for it, but may try the liverpool one next year.

It is my aim to do a triathlon next year and give me the push to get into swimming. A bit of forward planning ready for the day my knees give out and swimming is the only exercise I might be able to do.
As it is I can't make Sept this year, so count me in for next year.
