Good to see so many Striders down on Wednesday night- both old and new. Well done to all the prize winners- I think we will have an even tougher competition next year!
The year has been an exciting one for the club- we have seen our membership grow and more people are getting involved in organising trips/races etc. I hope we continue to see such good fortune over the next 12 months.
I would like to thank all of our members for continuing to turn up come rain and shine, and for welcoming new members with open arms. I think we should be very proud of what we have- something which hopefully caters for everyone and for me, a club that I enjoy attending. Thank you for the support, advice, shoulders to cry on, people to laugh with, members to drink with (and holiday with). You are almost like an extended family
(ps I have not been drinking! I am just in a reflectful mood, but I like to think that I am saying what other members are thinking).

Yes well said Rach i also agree with eveything you,ve put,but pass me the tissues cos i can feel a tear coming on I also think that 2011 will be even better, you never know i might even have a race (all be it slowly) by-the way Rach i think you had been drinking FrankMc
On behalf of all the members I would like to thank you, Dawn and the many other members who regularly support the club and organise the races and events during the year.
well its 7 a.m and Im definatly sober but will echo your sentiments Rach, the club is brilliant and is just the motivation we all need sometimes to get out the door, the weekemd runs are an extension of club training now and long mayt hey continue! anyone is welcome by the way, Claire and Andy are meeting 8.45 this morning at waterside, im undecided as still feeling a bit ruff ( man flu ruff not wine ruff!!)
many thanks all for your continued supprt and friendship!

Can only concur with the sentiments expressed by everyone.
From my own personal experience since returning the changes to the club are quite remarkable!!
From the warm welcome given to new, potential & old members alike, emailed training plans (big thanks to Frank), organization of races, trips abroad & transport (thanks Jo), media representation inc newspaper reports, new website (thanks John), facebook group, club kit etc......
This is not just a coincidence but a combination of hard work, determination & enthusiasm, the club is only as strong as the people who support it, and a large amount of the credit must go to yourself.
Finally a big thank you to all of you for the friendship, cameraderie, enthusiasm & support over the last 9 months, long may it continue.
I'm starting to get a bleary eyed now " sniffle sniffle pass me a hanky" and no I've not been drinking!!
fantastically put Andy!!! Rach a massive thank you for all your work in getting us in the press! we have never had so much publicity and its good to know our PB's and efforts are news!! thanks Rach!!
