Striders annual jaunt abroad- Prague 2011....???

Hi everyone

Jo has been told of the Prague half marathon- 2nd April 2011. Website can be found here:

I have always fancied going to Prague - and I think it is a good idea if we start planning early for the trip next year so more people can go.

Had a quick look at flights and there are no direct ones from liverpool so we would have to fly from manc. Prices are as follows:

not sure if that link works, but flights are about £120-150 return with either BMI baby or jet2.

Any thoughts?

very tempted, but it is school hols, so flights may be go up. Also other striders may have child care issues. Defo up for half abroad though... count me in

St Helens schools all now have the first two weeks in April off & just the bank holiday weekend for Easter.

I am interested but also might depend if I had been accepted in the London Marathon (wishful thinking) which is two week later!

gonna check out crazy runner which does complete packages , hotel , flights , entry to race etc , transport to and from start etc , so will have a look later and let you know, Mike, my friend paid 400 for him and his wife for three days hotel and flight so thats not bad , hotel was rite in city center too

I have also entered london- but i dont think it would put me off this. Would rather do a half before a marathon and not 2 weeks after (london - sheffield 2008, v hard!).

Shall we put some ideas together? How about I look at flight options/times/ prices and we get a few estimations for hotels?
