Hi

What a shock to the system the h/cap race was. Not really done any short racing for 20 years, more used to plodding at 7m.p.h. for an hour or so. I did enjoy it but I think I need quite a bit of practice. Need to pace myself better too.

Can you let me know what kind of times you all completed it in. I need to set myself somekind of target so that I can improve for Christmas h/cap. Obviously I won't be aiming to complete as fast as some of you quicker guys/girls but I would be interested to know anyway.

Thanks

John

Hi john. I have not got access to my watch at the moment but i think i was aroune 19 mins. Will confirm though once i have looked. It is all good practise, doin short fast runs make you a faster runner overall. It does make you remember those days at school doing cross country though!

I meant that to improve as a runner overall, you cant avoid speed work. Will you please post your name next time, thanks.

Speedwork will not only make you  run faster when required but will also increase the range  of movement that you need in your joints it will also help you to run much harder for longer periods when needed .
   Good running
